Please be aware that the following photographs have not been edited in any way, so may look a little blurry, out of focus, or grainy. I am sorry for not editing them before hand, however I wanted to show you all how much of an amazing trip I have been on.

Good Friday

On Good Friday, I woke-up (I guess!) at 5am, got ready, and got in the car. I was going on an Easter break to Saltburn-by-the-Sea. I had never been more excited to visit the beach. I had done my research, and the pictures on the website looked amazing!

(Images courtesy of Trip Adviser, the North Yorkshire Moors website, the Living North website and the Visit Saltburn by the Sea website.)

I did not expect, however, for the views of the beach to be as glorious as they were on Friday! The water was so clear! The sand was so soft! I couldn't have asked for anything better! As soon as I got to the beach (which was at around 9am) I took a picture. Since taking the picture on that Friday morning, I have set it as the lock screen on my phone, because it looked so nice.

On Friday, at Saltburn, I took a few pictures, including images of the beach and of the sun. I took some pictures of the sun because the effect that it had on the image's surroundings looked beautiful.

The sky looked dark and grey, however it was actually a really nice day.

In the evening, my mum, my dad, my brother and I went to a fish and chip restaurant called 'The Seaview Restaurant'. The Seaview Restaurant has been voted as the best fish and chip restaurant and takeaway for the whole of the UK and, to be honest, I couldn't have found a fault with them. I had the haddock and chips with mushy peas, and the food was probably the best I've ever tasted. We had to wait a while to get in (around 40 minutes), however that was because the restaurant was full, due to it being the best in the UK! Once inside, we were seated and ordered and began eating, all within 30 minutes, which was really nice, seeing as we were all very hungry from the day's activieites.

Easter Saturday

Easter Saturday, we woke up and got ourselves down to the hotel's restaurant, where they were serving breakfast! I had about 5 breakfasts that morning, each being a different part of the breakfast buffet.

Breakfast 1 - Cereal

Breakfast 2 - 'The Full English'

Breakfast 3 - Pain au Chocolate

Breakfast 4 - Mini Flapjack and Blueberry Muffin

Breakfast 5 - Fruit!

I obviously had some orange juice with that, else my throat would have been very sore that day!

After struggling to get back to the room (because I had eaten so much!) we all made our way to our destination of the day: Seaham. Seaham is a nice little seaside town, with a nice beach and a nice, big ASDA, with a restaurant, so that we could get our lunch! I had a really nice cheese and caramelised onion toastie!! It was actually amazing! The wind was a little cool, however the toastie made me feel nice and warm!

On Seaham beach, while my mum, dad and brother were collecting sea glass (Naturally produced sea glass ("genuine sea glass") originates as pieces of glass from broken bottles, broken tableware, or even shipwrecks, which are rolled and tumbled in the ocean for years until all of their edges are rounded off, and the slickness of the glasshas been worn to a frosted appearance. Thanks Google!!) So, while they looked for years old glass in the wet sand, I took some pictures of the rocks, and the rockpools, around where they were collecting.

Please see the gallery below for the images in which I took in Seaham.

Easter Sunday

Easter day!! Once again, a lovely, large breakfast, suitcases packed and in the car, off to Beamish for the day, before travelling home. One slight problem... It began to rain. We went to the sweet shop (for my mum and brother) and to the old-fashioned, Victorian Co-Op, and then decided that it would be best, seeing as Beamish is an open air museum, that we headed for the car, as there was quite a lot of rain, and we were able to get an unlimited pass, so that we could go back as many times as we wanted, for free, in the next 12 months. We knew that we would be going back!

Please see the images below, of the very, very short trip to Beamish.

I hope that you all had a lovely Easter too, and I hope to be taking a lot more pictures in the coming months, especially as we are now getting to the hotter months.
